College of Environmental Science and Engineering Invites Professor Hao Jingcheng from Shandong University to Give a Lecture

On the morning of November 16th, College of Environmental Science and Engineering invited Professor Hao Jingcheng from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Shandong University to give a lecture titled “The Design, Construction and Application Basis of New Assembly Colloid System” at 405, Building A of Borui, in order to promote the development of the college’s scientific researches. The lecture was presided over by Professor Yi Qun, the vice dean of the College. Delegates from College of Environmental Science and Engineering, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Institute of Coal Chemistry and Shanxi University participated in the report.

Professor Hao Jingcheng comprehensively introduced the emerging colloid assembly systems in recent years, focusing on the design and application of functional assembly systems such as surfactant solution aggregates, functional ionic liquid assembly colloids, etc. The report was beneficial and had high value in science and theories. Besides, Professor Hao Jingcheng and the faculties in College elaborated on the thoughts, writing methods and cautions when writing projects supported by the Funds, and had a discussion with young faculties on career planning, and writing and application of projects.

On behalf of Taiyuan University of Technology, Dean Yue Xiuping issued a letter of appointment to Professor Hao Jingcheng after the report, and Professor Hao Jingcheng was appointed as the visiting professor of our university. Professor Hao Jingcheng expressed his gratitude and showed his willingness to contribute to the “double first-class” construction of TYUT, the reform and development of the college and the training of talents.

Brief introduction of Professor Hao Jingcheng:

Professor Hao Jingcheng is Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Shandong University, Director of the Key Laboratory of Colloid and Interface Chemistry of Ministry of Education, Distinguished Professor of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program of Ministry of Education, winner of The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and the member of the Colloid and Interface Chemistry Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, and he serves as associate editor of Langmuir. He presided over more than 10 scientific research projects, such as projects of National Key R&D Program of China, projects of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China; he has published more than 400 SCI papers in Chemical Reviews, Accounts of Chemical Research, Chemical Society Review, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Langmuir and other international academic journals. He won the first prize of Science Research Famous Achievement Award (Natural Science) in Higher Institution, the Special Report Award at the conference of Materials Research Society in Japan in 2008, the Special Contribution Award of the Asian Association of Colloid and Interface, etc.
